Aurelie Faure

Aurélie Faure-Schuyer worked 15 years in investment banks BNP-Paribas, HSBC and Dexia, as a senior financial analyst covering the energy and commodity sectors and as a senior sustainable and responsible analyst covering global insurances. After reorienting in policy research, Aurélie Faure worked in two leading think-tanks: Ifri (Institut Français des Relations Internationales) and CEPS (Centre for European Policy Studies), where she acted as policy research fellow, organised events and did undertake moderating roles. Her research publications cover European energy policy (electricity market design, energy storage regulation), international relations (climate policy, Brexit). Aurélie co-chairs a working group in a European Commission expert group discussing the alignment of public funding with low carbon business models (the European Technology and Innovation Platform / ETIP- SNET - Working Group 5). She is a member of the European Lab Task Force on Climate Related Reporting. Aurélie took an active part in the early thinking of a European policy for electric batteries (European Battery Alliance), notably through the publication of articles in a book: “European Energy Markets and Society”, Elsevier, April 2017. She graduated from Paris-Dauphine University (Master’s Degree in Management), before joining the Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs (ENSPM), where she studied Energy Economics (1996). Aurélie Faure is a certified financial analyst (EU Federation of Financial Analysts’ Societies – 2000 – and also graduated from the Executive Master in European Public Affairs and Communication in IHECS - Brussels.
